A home in Finland
This is so beautiful! The colours and the materials makes me think about Gotland and how much I sometimes miss it, especially today when the first snow fell here in Copenhagen.

Some extra seats maybe?
This cute foldable bench was designed by Ali Bei Building Workshop in Barcelona for the café My little café in Bordeaux. I suppose it is meant to be used outdoors but I think it would be perfect at my place too. It could just slide under our sofa and serve as extra seating (with some cushions) when we have friends over! It looks a little retro, and in a good kind of way!

Principessa?
I grew up thinking, at least up until the age of 4, that everyone at some point of their lifes would become a prince or a princess. It was all very simple, life was endlessly long so there would certainly be time for all of us. And like in all games you take turns playing the most desiered role. I remember having an argument with an older friend about this, the same boring friend that tried to convince me that "one thousand" was actually more than "one hundered".
I remember this so clearly, I think it was probably during this argument I realized that maybe the world was not so fair after all.
The closest I ever got to princess was a Lambada (a very childish and far apart one, not at all like the kids in the video) during my dancing lesson in fourth grade with a boy who would later become the boyfriend of one of the princesses in Sweden.
I'm pretty ok with the fact that I will never become a princess nowadays, in the same way I'm ok with not being a priest or a nanny, two other childhood dreams of mine. Life oh Life.
The daybed is called Principessa and is designed by Doshi Levein

Paper sized multifunction
The proportions of this good looking cabinet by South Korean designstudio Kamkam is based on the standard A-format papersizes. The cabinet can be rearranged in many different ways and serves several funcions. Wardrobe, workstation and table. Probably a few more! Perfect for small space living or for people wo likes to rearrange a lot. The golden ratio wins again!

Un Giro di Sporco Sud
Just came back from a short visit in Malmö. Yesterday we went to the world premiere of this bicycle film by Martin Lang, shot at a bicycle race in Malmö last year arranged by my husband and his bicycleclub. Even though I'm not a bicyclist myself, other than using the bike for everyday transportation, I really enjoyed the film and the beautiful shots of southern Sweden in the spring. Great music too! The clip below is just the teaser so if you want to watch the film you can do it here!

A child at heart
I found the website of this amazingly great designstudio from Eindhoven called Ontwerpduo via the (also great) blog Madame Hervé. I've always been faschinated by miniatures and how their proportions are different from real life size objects. This is exactly what Ontwerpduo has been working on in this project called "When I was little." They've simply taken the proportions of a doll's sized dressing table and scaled it back to adult size. The result is this fairytale like piece of furniture with the same kind of magic as in these photos . I love it!
Someone once metioned to me that there somewhere in NYC would be a bar that was completely bulit up around the concept that everything (tables, chairs, glasses... everything!) was made slightly bigger than normal to create the feeling of you being a child again. (A child drinking beer...!) Has anyone of you heard of this place? Or maybe even been there? Has it even existed? Is it there still?
Anyways, I am completely in awe of the conceptual and wonderful world of the Ontwerpduo so be sure to look into their other work, especially this project!

Marika Åkerblom is a talented scenographer and also the big sister of my very best friend :) Amongst all the projects this super creative woman has worked with I want to show you two. The first two images are from the play "Mentalsköterskan" (The mental nurse) at Uppsala stadsteater and the second project is XX video below where she struggeled quite a bit to find someone who could lend her a monkey (!) I hope to see more from her soon!
